It unites China, Burma, Laos, Thailand, Combodia and Vietnam : like the Danube in Europe or the Nile in Africa, it is one of the longest rivers of the world and represents the river soul of Asia. The series will follow the close to 5.000 kilometers of the river from its source in the Tibetan plateaux to its delta way down in the South. The extreme seasonal variations in flow and the presence of rapids and waterfalls will make navigation extremely difficult, but provde wonderful photography for a stunning discovery series. As we descend the river, we shall look at the most interesting geographical and natural treasures we find on the way, we shall spend time with the most attractive and interesting flora and fauna we encounter, and we shall look at many of the colourful and astounding ethnical groups who live along its shores.
