|
Anne is a happily married young mother. She lives in a suburban pub in Melbourne with her husband, Bobby, her two daughters, and her elderly father, Joe, who migrated to Australia from Germany after the war.
Their normal life is shattered when Iya Zetnick, a middle-aged Lithuanian woman, accuses Joe in a television report of being a Nazi war criminal.
Anne angrily defends her father. Her loyalty to him, as a loving daughter, is immediate and instinctive. But, as the pressure mounts on them all, Anne cannot hold back the first doubts.
